I've been slacking!

Yeah yeah yeah, I have been MAJORLY slacking in the blogging department. I knew I would, which is why I wasn't going to make one of these things. But I guess a lot has been going on and not a lot at the same time. I don't even know what I last wrote about. Let's see.. since then we have done our maternity shoot with our photographer Dusty. Megan and Heather did one with me as well since they wanted to practice, and why not!? More cute pictures for me! =] I had my second baby shower which Dana threw for me. Short and sweet, which I HIGHLY recommend if you're as far along as I was at that point. It was a very tiring experience even when you're just sitting there. But we got everything that we needed for Hailey except for some bottles. But me and my mom went out and spent our gift cards and got those. We set up all of Hailey's things such as her swing, car seats, stroller, high chair.. yada yada! I packed her diaper bag and got everything all ready for her to be here and was meaning to pack my hospital bag but didn't actually get around to it until the night I was going into the hospital. So about that.. a couple false alarms. Last Friday I was having contractions. They started consistently being 10 minutes apart at like 7pm when we started timing them at least. And by 11pm that night they were 3 to 5 minutes apart. So as they tell you, we went to the hospital and after being there for 2 hours they sent me home since they weren't strong enough! Oh yeah, I've been dilated to a 1 for like 2 weeks now. So anyways I was all depressed at this point that I got sent home and they gave me an Ambien so I would sleep and relax and hopefully it would help get things going a little bit more. It didn't! So I pretty much was either sleeping or crying at this point, I was just so upset. Then came 4th of July which I was still knocked out on that Ambien but Devin went next door to Mark and Megans since they were having a BBQ and people over. When I finally woke up I got somewhat ready and went over too. I was still out of it and not in the best of moods but it was a good time with everyone there. Plus, we have the perfect view of fireworks from our backyards! And then comes Sunday, with another false alarm. We thought my water was leaking so once again we went into the hospital just to get checked and after being there for like an hour and a half they sent me home again. So now really, I am not going back to that place until I am in major pain with these contractions! It's been very overwhelming I guess and I feel like I have NO energy and just sleep all day. Oh yeah, which brings me to the point that I have been on maternity leave since the beginning of July. My next doctors appointment isn't until Friday (the day before my due date) so we will see what the doctor says at that point and apparently will be discussing the whole getting induced thing. Oh yeah! I got a new car too! Devin got sick of my complaining about how I couldn't get in and out of my big lifted truck so he did the research and found me a new car so we traded it in! I now have a 2008 Jeep Commander. I miss my truck a lot but this is much more reasonable for me to have and with the car seat and all. What a great hubby huh?! Other than that I think that's all that has been going on besides the regular life. Hopefully next post will be about Hailey arriving! Have a good one!
